Claire Ham

Financial Director

Claire has been with us since 1998 and has trained through the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).  She undertakes all areas of accountancy, management accounts, VAT and Payroll.  

Claire likes spending time with her family, chocolate and a nice glass of wine!

John Walker

Qualified Supervisor

John rejoined JLEC in 2013 as an estimator, following 7 years previous experience in the role. He has been an approved electrician with inspection  and testing qualifications for over 20 years. He has recently taken the role of our NICEIC Qualified Supervisor overseeing and implementing quality control, testing and certification.

John likes flying, playing golf and Formula 1.

Nicky Brook

Project Manager

Nicky started with us in 2004 as an apprentice electrical trainee and over his 12 years with us has progressed to the role of Project Manager. Nicky currently has the responsibility of running all of our projects (large and small) whilst maintaining a high standard of work amongst our engineers. Nicky is also our resident health and safety advisor holding the current IOSH qualifications.

Yvonne Brentley

Office Manager

Yvonne is our fantastic office manager who joined us in 2004.  She manages our payroll and HR department, along with the general administration and reception.

Darren Taylor

Operations Manager

Darren started with us in 1998 as an apprentice electrical trainee and over his 18 years with us has progressed to an approved electrician, NICEIC qualified supervisor and is currently our Operations Manager taking care of the day to day running of the engineers. Darren is also involved in providing quotations for various projects throughout the UK and running the PPM contracts we have with various clients.

Darren likes spending time with his family, listening to Oasis and a good Sunday Roast.

Karen Hickey

Service Desk Contracts Co-Ordinator

Karen joined the team in 2018 and heads up the servicing contracts, reactive maintenance and client liaisons along with other day to day requirements.  We welcome Karen to the team!!

John Liput

Chief Executive

JLEC was founded by Electrician John back in 1978. 

John continues his involvement in the company with decision making and quite enjoys the occasional getting back 'on the tools' jobs!

John in his spare time loves going out on his motorbikes.

Valerie Liput

Company Secretary

JLEC was founded by Valerie Liput alongside John Liput back in 1978.  Valerie played a major role in the 'back office' side of the business ensuring all ran smoothly. 

Valerie now continues her involvement in JLEC with the administration and decision making.

Valerie enjoys spending time with her grand children, breaks away and is a wizz in the kitchen (watch out Mary Berry)!!

Glenn Liput

Managing Director

Glenn started as an apprentice  electrician when he was 15.  He was then made Managing Director in 2005.  Glenn has successfully built relationships with clients old and new. He continues to grow the business ensuring we are up to date with all the latest technology, products and legislation.  

Glenn likes all the latest gadgets and cooking.
